Free entry route

Free Postal Entry Route

Eligible competitions on Lexera will include a free postal entry route. Postal entries must follow the published competition rules and contain the required information. This page describes how the free postal entry route is intended to work and will be finalised before paid entries go live.

Final wording, postal address, and any per-competition variations will be confirmed before launch. Always check the relevant competition page for the exact requirements.

How to enter

How to enter by post

Follow these steps to submit a free postal entry. Each competition page will confirm the exact details and address that apply to that specific competition.

  1. Choose your competition

Decide which published prize competition you want to enter using the free postal entry route.

  2. Review the competition page and rules

Read the full competition page and any associated rules so you know what information is required and when the entry must arrive.

  3. Write your postal entry

On a single sheet of paper, write the details required by that competition clearly and legibly.

  4. Include the competition name and required answer or details

Where a skill-based question applies, include your answer. Always state the exact competition name as published on the competition page.

  5. Send it to the published postal entry address

Post your entry so it is received before the published closing deadline for that competition.

Postal entry address

Postal address to be confirmed before launch.

The final postal address will be published on each competition page before paid entries open. Please do not send entries to any other address.

Required information

What to include in your postal entry

Postal entries are likely to require the following information. Each competition page will confirm the exact required information for that competition.

  • Full name
  • Date of birth or written confirmation that you are 18 or over
  • Email address or contact details
  • Competition title (exactly as published)
  • Answer to the skill question, where required
  • Postal address or contact address if required by the competition rules

Timing and deadlines

Send your entry in good time

  • Postal entries must be received before the published closing date for the competition.
  • Late, incomplete, illegible, or incorrectly submitted entries may not be accepted.
  • Each competition page will show the relevant closing date in UK time.

Fair treatment

Treated under the competition rules

  • Valid postal entries will be treated in accordance with the published competition rules for the relevant competition.
  • All entries are subject to verification before any prize is awarded.
  • Duplicate, incomplete, automated, fraudulent, or non-compliant entries may be rejected.

Skill question note

Where a skill-based question applies

Where a competition requires a skill-based question, the postal entrant must provide the required answer as part of the postal entry. The required answer is the entrant's own response — correct answers are not published or shared in advance and are not exposed on this page.

Each competition page will indicate where a skill question applies and what is expected.
